- What are X (Twitter) username rules?
- X (Twitter) usernames must be 1–15 characters long and can only contain letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), and underscores (_). No spaces, hyphens, periods, or special characters. The @username is case-insensitive.
- Can I change my X (Twitter) username?
- Yes — you can change your X username at any time from Settings → Your account → Account information → Username. Unlike TikTok, there is no waiting period between changes.
- Is my X (Twitter) username case-sensitive?
- No. X treats @YourName and @yourname as the same handle. However, X displays the capitalization you used when you registered, so @YourBrand and @yourbrand point to the same account.
- Why does this tool say 'appears available'?

- What is the maximum X (Twitter) username length?
- X usernames can be 1–15 characters long. Shorter handles (4–10 characters) are generally easier to share and remember. Most short handles are already taken, so consider adding numbers or an underscore.
