- What is the character limit per tweet / X post?
- Standard X (Twitter) accounts are limited to 280 characters per post. X Premium subscribers can post up to 25,000 characters in a single post.
- How does the thread splitter decide where to break posts?
- It first tries to break on paragraph boundaries (blank lines). Within long paragraphs, it breaks at sentence endings. If a single sentence exceeds 280 characters, it splits at the nearest word boundary.
- Should I add post numbers to my thread?
- It depends on the thread length. For threads of 5+ posts, numbering (1/7, 2/7…) helps readers understand the structure and length. For shorter threads of 2–3 posts, numbering is optional.
- Can I post threads directly from Postlia?
- Yes — Postlia's posting product (coming soon) lets you write a thread once and publish it directly to X, LinkedIn, and other platforms on a schedule.
- Does this tool work for Bluesky threads?
- Bluesky's limit is 300 characters, slightly higher than X's 280. This tool uses 280 characters as the safe default. All posts produced will comfortably fit in a Bluesky thread as well.
